The last set of half-chaps I bought have zippers, and I'll never buy another set
with them.  They are more trouble to put on than velcro chaps, and they take
more time to put on, and that's when the zippers are clean and aren't being
balky.  It's no fun being a few minutes away from your out time at a vet check,
there's grit in the zippers and the @&%)$ things won't zip.
