[RC] Cramping while shoeing - April

I have always wondered about shoeing when it's chilly or downright
cold out. I've always been told not to do stretching exercises when my
horse is cold due to possible muscle damage. Instead to warm him up a
bit first.

I figure it might be a good idea to be sure the horses are not just
standing around in the cold and then have the farrier go to pulling
the legs around here and there to do the shoeing. Not saying that's
what happened with the original poster, but just put me in mind of
things I think about when my most excellent farrier comes to visit.
