Re: [RC] CTR NATRC - Lynn Kinsky

But too if you realize the top annual awards in NATRC are totally on the horses vet points. The presidents cup and the NATRC national championships are all on points the horse alone has earned. then there's annual placings of horse, horsemanship and team awards where the horse and rider scores are combined. Just FYI, hope to see you on the trail.

A horse without a rider who is capable of scoring well in horsemanship is unlikely to get to the highest horse award -- the horsemanship judging is based on riding so that your horse can do well. But that aside, there *are* national awards that reward horsemanship directly -- the Polly Bridges Memorial is for high average horsemanship score in the Open Division; the Jim Menefee Memorial is for high point combined Horse and Horsemanship points in Open Division; Junior High Average Horsemanship for a junior riding in Open Division; and there is High Average Competitive Pleasure Horsemanship.
