[RC] Potassium, Phosphorus, Selenium - Sluys Guys

In readying for the upcoming season I had my two horses blood tested. Blue (gelding) was one of the horses that tied up at the beginning of the Biltmore ride last spring and I wanted to make sure I had all my ducks in a row before starting the season. Last year he tested low for selenium and I put him on Mega Sel because it claimed to be more readily absorbable because it was a liquid. He is also on a supplement called Tie Free which also has selenium in it and he is on a general vitamin supplement (accel). Anyway, his blood selenium level is still low at 0.10 ppm. My other horse, Rose (mare), is low as well at 0.12. She gets the same supplements as he does except for the Tie Free which means that he gets more selenium than she does but his blood level is lower than hers. I'm hoping that one of you fine vets out there can give me some hints as to how to get the levels up to where they need to be. I did just order some organic selenium yeast but I have not received it yet. What are the risks of giving selenium shots to boost the levels and how often would that be necessary?

Another thing that has me worried about the test is that they both tested high for potassium (Blue at 7.1 and Rose at 6.5) and low in phosphorus (Blue at 2.5 and Rose at 2.8) According to the test their Na/K ratio was ok.
just some more puzzling details...
Blue's CK level was also a bit high at 427.
Rose's Albumin level was high at 3.9
Both horses have been in light training. Rose was ridden 18 miles the day before the test but Blue was just in the pasture for about 5 days before the test.
They both are on pasture (a bit thin this time of year) , orchard grass hay (not the best quality this year unfortunately), one coffee can of beet pulp, 1/4 coffee can of stabilized rice bran and 1 cup of stabilized flax seed (both of these products have added calcium)
My vet is a bit clueless on all of this since I'm the only distance rider he has for a client and I'm just trying to figure if I have anything to worry about.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Nancy Sluys
