Subject: Sorry-my mud solution!

Well, shoot, I sent this email below first, but apparently it didn't
go...didn't mean to be so mysterious. :)

I totally relate to all of your complaints. I have no mud any longer. I
highly recommend the Rogue River Equine Solutions product.
www.rrequinesolutions.com

It is a tough felt pad that you roll out (they will custom fit if needed)
over the surface (I put 3" of pea gravel underneath, but not necessary) and
anchor around the perimeter of your area. My horses have not stood in mud
for years and there paddocks are only 25'x25' with a 12'x12' box stall
each. And we've gotten several inches of rain in just this last week. It
is water logged everywhere, even walking to the barn my boots get sucked a
bit, but the paddock is like carpeting. My shoer came out yesterday and he
commented on the fact that my horses were some of the best hooves he'd seen
this season.

If you are tired of buying sand and gravel and replacing it all the time,
tired of the ongoing costs of bedding and Stall Dry and wood pellets and DG
that sink into the mud eventually or must be stripped, try this out. I
did all those things too before I found it.

You buy it once and it requires no maintenance, no ongoing costs, you are
done. I've used them for almost 5 years now and have never had a problem
with the product. It's tough, even with shod hooves full time.

Putting the pea gravel underneath adds to the drainage of course, but is
also GREAT for arthritic and performance horse joints. It's soft and a bit
cushiony. No bog, no hard substrate, no mud.

Tell Steve that Dawn sent you, he's very nice and owns the company. He
will help you with a solution and custom fit if needed. I don't work for
him, I just can't say enough about his product, it was a Godsend for me.
If you live in the Auburn area and want to see mine, please feel free to
email me at dawnsimas67-at-earthlink-dot-net. The product is shipped, but
is very lightweight and not cost prohibitive. 12'x12' is only $174
complete, plus shipping.
