[RC] One day 100's - Truman Prevatt

There has been a lot of whining and gnashing of teeth over the lack of one day 100 mile rides. Well the ride managers in the SE have responded with new offereings. LBL is offereing a one day 100 as is the Sand Hill Stampeed this spring. This is along with the Spring Biltmore and then the Hallelujah and Carolina rides in the fall. The LBL and Sand Hill 100 are new.

So it's time for the riders that say they want to ride to ride 100's to "belly up to the bar" and go do them. Guess what - if not enough riders show up - not all of them will still be offered next year. So now is your chance to stop whining and go ride. It's up to the riders what rides they have.

============================================================ They're athletes! This is a partnership between horse and rider - we don't have any jockeys out there, just pals and partners. We'd allow a rider with a broken foot, a sore back and a nasty cold to compete - but we would never let a horse in a similiar condition hit the trail. ~ Dr. Barney Flemming DVM
