I certainly found the last sentence to be true.  A very official e-mail came
to me from "Microsoft" advertising a patch to control the latest viruses.  I
opened it.....fortunately Norton Anti-Virus caught it and quarantined it.  I
rarely open an attachment any more.

Most viruses these days depend on people opening attachments that they
don't
know what they are. Being careful with attachments is your best defense.
Second most important thing to do is keep your security patches up to
date.
Go fetch the patch from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com - Microsoft
NEVER
sends patches to people in e-mail. Go get them yourself.
