RE: [RC] [RC] Feet in water trough - Laurie Durgin

My colt's mom did this, and she taught him how to do it, (but after she left,I think he forgot, thank goodnes!)I had a shallower trough, so we got a deeper one, but she still did it. (ONly on hot days mind you, did the same thing crossing a creek a couple times ,decided she did it for 'air-conditioning").
Finally I put large rocks and landscape timbers in front of the trough and put it up against the fence in the back, that stopped it. Laurie

My mare puts her front feet in her plastic 100+ gallon water trough and gets
the water muddy. Then she doesn't want to drink it. Someone told me to scare
her away, I should put mouse traps in the bottom. What do you think? Have
any other ideas?

Catherine in cold Colorado, but still riding anyway
