Re: [RC] OT Jack Russell Terrier - Maryanne Stroud Gabbani

I raise Rat Terriers and they tend to be much more mellow than Jack Russells. Mine get along great with animals and are good ratters. There are two body types among both breeds, a short-legged and a long-legged version. My experience is that the short-legged dogs have a tendency to be more aggressive and hyper. They are very cute but a bit annoying. The taller ones are more easy going.

The terriers that I've always seen on ranches are not Jack Russells, but Fox terriers and even toy fox terriers, sometimes called rat terriers. They are?wonderful rodent killers.

Subject: [RC]?? OT Jack Russel Terier

I want to get a Jack Russel Terier.
The breeder explains to me now, that there are 2 types. Something I have
never noticed.
My question is now, which one is the type commonly/always found at the
horses farms.

Thank
You
