[RC] Colic and Cold Weather - Ridecamp Guest

I support the feeding of beet pulp and if appropriate senior feed.  Not sure 
why the previous person wasn't a fan of senior feeds, but it doesn't matter.  
As for pouring off the extra liquid from the beet pulp I make it as sloppy as 
they will eat it, and the senior feed, or whatever you may use to make it more 
palatable will soak it up.  As for the molasses not having any nutritional 
value, I am not sure about that.  My recollection is that it is a good source 
of iron, however, I don't know if beet pulp has enough to make a difference, 
but I would leave as much water as possible if dehydration is a factor. Does a 
vet want to chime in on that one.
