[RC] Naming the baby - Julie FullerBeth,Okay, I'm sipping my first cuppa coffee, read your post, and the first thing that came to mind was this, If it's a filly, name it Betty Zane... she was Zane Grey's mother,( I think... hey, it's early) and one of his early books was titled "Betty Zane"( 1903) If it's a colt, name it Lew or Lewis Wetzel, who was a character in the book also, Betty's sort of "love interest" (Those turn of the century novelsare pretty interesting in matters of love... kiss the girl, you gotta marry her!) He was a "mountain man, very mysterious and she adored him. Wetzel was in a few of the other early books as well. He was always one of my favorite characters in Grey's books, due to his skills as a mountain man and his tragic quality.
