Only one problem with that. A lot of rides use trail that is not necessarly open for general riding - only open for that day. Another other problem is you'd have to get a GPS that worked reliability in a canopy of deciduous trees or deep mountain valleys to be useful in anyting other than the western plains ;-). Third it might be fine if you are racing for the turtle award, but those tiny hinies that are racing for fame a glory, that need a warning 100 meters in advance and don't have time to find, much less watch a GPS - it wouldn't work at all.

Give me a ribbon or pie plate any day.
