It was pointed out to me that referencing my birthday as a 'history lesson'
is probably not the most politic thing for a husband to do...

But this year will be my 50th (gasp) and I have to say it has been very
special so far, and (god willing) there are some more adventures on the
horizon. Thanks to the sport, thanks to the wonderful folks that this sport
collects, and most of all thanks to the horses!

Indeed - Happy Birthday Ridecamp!

And I just gotta add that this year is quite a special birthday for steph
too.

We got her out of the snow and she's been riding and having a ball all this
month (thanks to the great hospitality of Jackie Bumgardner and Terry
Wooley-Howe and the Duck. Now she's off to Abu Dabi (as a crew at the
Presidents Cup for Leonard Liesens - one of the many ridecamp friends she's
made over the years). Then, hopefully, she'll stop back by to visit with
Maryanne Gabini-Stroud in Cairo on the way home. Steph (and maybe Jackie)
will be there to help the local Egyptian riders experience how rides are
run in the US. Endurance Ambasadors!

So, Happy Birthday Steph too!!
