Re: [RC] gps again!! - Kristen A. Fisher

I finally got a chance to try out my new "watch" gps
system from Timex.  It was accarate to less than 1/2
mile in 20 miles.   Is this common for this type of
gps.   I tried a hand held one last year and it was
off by almost a mile in ten.


I have the Forerunner 201 and we did a 16 miel trail at Lake Ray Roberts
last wekeend; at the end my unit said 15.5 miles. I just assumed the trail
marking is a bit off, and so is the GPS maybe.  Let us know what you get
with the car test!  I put mine between my elbow and wrist. Will test it at
Decatur this weekend, weatehr willing.
