 If the cracks are causing bleeding, I would not use any filler
right away, since it could be absorbed into the bloodstream. 
Why fill the cracks?  If she is concerned about infection, I'd
use some sort of boot until the hoof has had some time to heel. 
Her vet and/or farrier is probably the best guide.
