[RC] Other as a breed - Michael Maul

In response to:"there are lots of "others" competing. maybe some folks just forgot to list the breed of their horse on the ride entry form. "

Most of what you enter on your ride entry form isn't used at all by the AERC office. Your wt division and your horses breed may be useful to the ride manager for local awards but for AERC - only the information in your office records matter.

You could be a 250 lb rider on a Dutch Warmblood on your entry form at the ride but if the office records have you as a FW on an Icelandic from the AERC numbers sent in by the RM - that's what goes into the ride records. For AERC purposes - the only important information sent in on the horse/rider is their AERC numbers and their finish time. This is why it's very important to have legible AERC numbers on the form for your entry.

It's important that you review both your information and your horses information in the records at your members page. You can make changes in both from this page. It's where you can change the breed.

You can reach your members page from the link right under the horses at the top right on the home page. If you have not activated your members page - you can do it from the same link. Personal Info is the Menu.

If you have forgotten your login/passwd - just enter a blank. A reminder link will come up and you enter your AERC number. The login/passwd is emailed to your email address in the records.

If that's changed - email me to reset the login/passwd.

Mike
