[RC] Christmas present/allergies to DM - Ridecamp Guest

Please Reply to: Lisa Stanton LStanton311@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
==========================================

My mom was completely horrified when I requested 4 used military
wool blankets for Christmas (only $9 apiece!). When I opened
them in front of the family, she gave me the "warning" look not
to take them out of the box or to tell anyone they were used!
I'll be heading to the fabric store for binding tomorrow.

Don't have any experiece with allergic reactions to the DM, but
one of the mares that I ride took a while to get used to it. She
is extraordinarily sensitive, would stop, pin her ears, particularly at the
trot (not her normal behavior). I flipped
the pad over with the flat side against the horse for a few days,
until she got use to the feel. Then I flipped it back over,
and haven't had a problem since. Just a thought.

Happy New Year everyone!

Lisa
