I chuckle as I read some of the gifts you all received. I'm another
of those practical sorts that loves equipment for gifts. Four years ago,
Lud and I bought our John Deer Gator for us, and we have used it hard and
enjoyed it every time we put it to some ranch task. This year, Lud's gift
to me was one of those very quiet Honda generators (thank you, Lynne Glaser for
the recommendation on ridecamp quite some time ago); we can use it at our
ridecamp, at the start and finish line and at the briefing, and I plan to use it
in our LQ-converted livestock trailer with a small microwave. When we go
to rides, I usually take along a casserole. Macaroni and cheese is very
difficult to heat up in a frying pan on a stove top. Anyway, the generator
is a welcome gift, and will be put to good use.
I'd love to hear of some of your gifts from spouses, at least horse-related
ones.
