[RC] Alice ride insuance - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: kate kate.kearby@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== who supplies it and what it costs. we were able to get a special exemption i think for our timer being too old to volunteer, right now there's no upper limit on riders age, there is according to the insurance and the limited liability of natrc minimum ages for both riders and workers. i suspect aerc being a large organization and probably having a different and bigger more costly insurance company has different rules. and at least the kids competeing have waivers signed. the whole thing comes down to lawyers and insurance and personal responsibilities. and the trouble with some grown ups is they don't know what that is yet and they had kids.. and they blame everyone else when their kid gets hurt when they weren't watching them and it's the parents fault. because there's a few we all pay the price. when ride insuance gets to hi or harder to get because some kid handing out water falls off the truck and some parent anywhere in the country sues because the P&R chair wasn't babysitting you may see the end of natrc or any other competitive family horse events. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
