[RC] kids, rides, and ponies - larry Miller

The best part about taking one's kids on rides is when it becomes a big turnaround.  My daughter babysat me on my young mare on her first ride.  I couldn't have done it if Sally Ann hadn't been there to take care of mom.  I was a nervous wreck, my mare reared at the beginning, did one of those semicircle bucks, there was about 2 feet of air between my rump and the saddle.  I am sure my face was white and the my knuckles were white too.  My daughter's reaction?  'hang on Mom, you will be okay!'  And I was.  We finished and my daughter took excellent care of her mom.  It can't get any better than that.  Jeanie
