Ed is probably right about naming foals. Keep it simple. When our
mare ER Olympic Dawn aka Odie was in foal ( X Desperado V) we went through all
kinds of fancy names. We came up with Juan's Corona Bey because we call my
husband Juan, Spanish for John, we love Corona beer but it also means crown,
like royalty and Bey from Bey el Bey, and Huckleberry Bey. Whew!
We ended up calling him Mucho Dinero because that is what he cost to get
here. Every time I call Dinero, John just shivers :)
Now that he has been with Ed for his "Ed"-ucation, they have been calling
him Chewymon. But all of my horses will answer and come to "Cookie?", no matter
what their name is. No, they are not spoiled. ;)
