[RC] Perfect Saddle Pad - bechack

Katee at Heels Up Saddlery had one that is just about perfected and
ready to come out on the market. OK, Yes, I am the "test dummie" for
most of Katee's ideas!

I have been using this pad of a few months (2 or 3) did all 4 days at
Death Valley, etc. Saddle Pad DOES NOT MOVE, breathes, pad doesn't
soak up large quantities of sweat, and allows heat dissapation (cool
back!) Will fit under most western / endurance saddles. She is
working on the english version.

Contact Katee at "owensall@xxxxxxx" with any questions.

Interesting web site. has anyone actually seen one or used it? What
is it
made of and do you really think it could fulfill his claims? Or
is this
guy just a megalomaniac with grandiose ego?
A lot of people seem to solve a lot of their padding problems with
either
skito, supracor or sheepskin. Maybe SERA needs to do a 'pad' poll.
Wouldn't a nonslip ,shock absorbing pad that doesn't build up
heat
,that you can clean easy sound like perfection? Not to solve saddle
problems, but just to slip under the saddle you could use on most
horses
and saddles. Ideally ,it would last 3 or 4 years and cost less
than 100$
(
I can dream can't I) Somehow I can't write that check for a
180-250$
saddle pad that may last a year , that you saved for and go away
muttering
,"If this thing doesn't work ,I'll shoot myself".
Laurie ( who stayed up last night making a "playdough " and
vinyl
pad
out of an old shower curtain to see if it" impresses my horse" .
(for the
artistically inclined it is blue and red on one half and green and
yellow
on
the other). I also visited the shoe cobbler today with some
biothane
scraps
from reins I didn't like, and 2 D rings to have him stitch me up 2
girth
loops , as the hay strings were getting lost when I took the cinch
off and
I
keep dropping the only real one I have ,so a few extra were
needed.
