The article about skijoring (Sp?) was in Equus.  If I remember correctly they 
like quarter horses for the quick starts and turns.  Does Howard win the race 
if he is behind the horse on skis LOL.  Howard in the words of my mother "you 
are a long suffering brute" and we love you.
