RE: [RC] [RC] Archive Use - terry banister

You are missing the point of the current barefoot posts. Equipment is not a static topic.
The whole barefoot thread currently going on started because of the introduction of the Boa Boots. In the past, there were very few options. Before the EasyBoot, "barefoot" meant just that.
Then, with the introduction of the Easy Boot, some people who had ideal circumstances and infinite patience left their horses barefoot and used the EasyBoots for their competitive riding. But it was inconvenient and never really caught on. There was also a lack of knowledge available on the horse's hoof needs to the layman.
Now, a few individuals have devoted their lives to focus on the workings of the equine hoof, and the knowledge is easily shared with the proliferation of the Internet and e-mail. Many people have expressed an interest (current or past) in the concept of leaving their horse barefoot, but they really felt in a fog. Relly did not have concrete information to answer their questions.

Also, technology is constantly evolving, and now, like no other time in history, materials and machinery are available that can make the equipment to not only find Mars, but touch it. With the combination of the research Jamie Jackson, Dr. Strasser and Martha Olivo and University research labs and equipment, the facts and motivation are available to make things possible if there is a demand for it.

Soon, we will have the answers needed to allow a horse to live its life and even compete 100 miles in one day without nailing anything to their feet.

Not complaining but merely suggesting, but many of the same topics keep coming up, to shoe or not to shoe, old mac vs. shoes, information on horse boots, iron shoes vs. plastic shoes. I would suggest that people go back into the archives and see what has previously been discussed and read those posts. I have searched the archives before and if I can do it anyone can. Just a thought. Mmmm who knows maybe their have been other discussion threads about beating Howard, shooting Howard (oh no that was shooting dogs that bark : ) )
thanks
