[RC] Riding Lady Marla and TBs... - Michael Maul

In response to "Mike and his horse Rroc have been have been riding partners for Scout, Khal,
and me at the NM rides lately and he told me about your mare during one of
our rides at Around the Mountain. If I remember correctly, he said he
wouldn't ride her in an endurance ride (or maybe he said he wouldn't ride
her....at all "

At my age I have a strong sense of self preservation driven by the fact that I don't react or heal as fast as I did when I was younger.

I've ridden a number of times with Kat on Lady Marla and while she's an excellent horse - when she spooks(which in my view is often) - you need to be able to recover quickly and be prepared to "bail" if the circumstances are right.

I've seen Kat do that to make sure that both of them didn't go down a steep incline at her place in CA.

So in my view, a nice horse but needs an excellent quick rider who is willing to take risks. Not my thing at this point in my life...

Mike
