RE: [RC] Fwd: [RC] saddle that hurt horse's back - terry banister

They are all known as "flexible-panel" saddles (a flexible tree is different). The flexible panels are all made of a space-age plastic-type material known as Delrin (which is also used in shower heads because of its noncorrosive durable qualities). However, each of the flexible-panel saddle manufacturers cuts, layers and mounts the Delrin panels to the tree by different methods in order to avoid patent infringement, among other reasons. Also, each of the flex-panel manufacturers offer different demo policies, customer service, warranties and company financial stability. So the basic flex-panel concept is good, but one should do their homework before buying. You may not be able to get a refund if you want to send it back.
