Catherine, I never tried one because, at the time (years ago), I never heard of them, but what about the saddles for plantation style Morgans?
 
I still think well-sprung ribs are a good thing, just that saddle shopping is a struggle.

So are you still have saddle fit problems?  How did  you resolve it?  If this saddle I recently ordered doesn't fit, then I will try a mule saddle to handle my horse's well-sprung ribs (Morgan).
