[RC] riding in the dark - R & M Dorchester

I ride quite a bit in the dark, especially in the winter time.? Most of my winter training runs in the dark are on the road, that way I don’t have to worry about trees.? I have reflective tape on my helmet, my jacket (front and back), and my stirrups.? I also made reflective leg bands for my horse’s legs.? I used the reflective material that you sew on, it’s about 2 inches wide.? I cut it short enough to fit around the cannon bone without slipping over the fetlock and sewed Velcro to the ends.? If I happen to be riding in snow deep enough to obscure the leg bands, ie in the ditch, then I take the four bands, Velcro them together end to end and put them around the horse’s neck.? The visibility is amazing, you can see us coming for about ¾ of a mile.? You can’t tell what we are exactly but you see something coming at you >g<.
