I bought one of those Heated Buckets (5-gal.), thinking it would be great in camp to prevent his water from freezing overnight (does not heat the water enough to make it hot). But then realized it needs an inverter or something in order to plug into cigarette lighter or portable battery jumper, which didn't seem safe. Consequently, haven't tried it. Would it be unsafe?

I used to have an electric fencer that would trip a GFCI when a horse touched the wire. The newer ones don't seem to have that problem.
