HOley MOley! I don't know Sue, but I'll keep her in my
thoughts and prayers. Geesh! You just never know ...

Hi Ridecampers,
Yes, Sue Greenall suffered some severe injuries on
Saturday at the Mustang
Memorial ride. Her horse misjudged a sandy hillock
at speed and flipped
over on her. She was airlifted out to the hospital
in Atlantic City, New
Jersey. Last I heard she had 3 broken ribs, some
fractures in several of
her spinal vertabrae, a possible punctured lung, and
a severe concussion.
Her helmet was crushed! I came along shortly after
the accident and she
was talking but very confused.Thank goodness she was
riding with such fine
people who made sure she was cared for until the
paramedics got there. I
understand that two hunters walking through the
woods found them and called
911 on their cell phone before the rider who was
sent for help reached the
radio person. I wish I knew everyone's name to give
recognition but I'm
sorry I don't. I do know that Kathy Brunjes was one
who was riding with
Sue and stayed, and Jay on Samtastic was the one who
galloped for miles
looking for help. I was glad to see such good
sportsmanship and empathy
for a fellow rider shown by all concerned. These
people were front runners
and the accident happened only 8 miles from the
finish of the 50, yet all
who got there stopped and tried to help. I wish
only the best to Sue on
her recovery and to tell her she has some really
great endurance friends.
Everyone offered every kind of help imaginable
including getting her horses
and trailer back to Vermont from New Jersey!
Hopefully we will get some
more information on ridecamp as I know many who want
to send her cards and
letters including myself. All my prayers for a
quick recovery for Sue,

I was camping next to Sue and would be honored to
ride again with any of
these fine people at any ride, any time.
