I did a web search last night and turned up the
following article on Gallium Nitrite for treating
Navicular.  The idea is that navicular syndron is
linked to high aluminum levels in the bone.  They use
gallium ions to replace aluminum ions.

This sounds like the study your friend is refering to.

I'd like to hear from one of the vets on the list
before I sign our gelding Ocho up for the study.
