[RC] trailer safety - Michelle Fink

Hi,

I'm getting ready to go look at a 10 yr. old used steel trailer, a
fixer-upper steel LQ - the LQ section is empty due to a fire. The owners
emptied it and cleaned it out and have camped in the trailer for a couple of
years. Now they are selling it to downsize. The price is right for the
trailer - the horse section is in really good condition. What things do I
need to check out on a used trailer, other than the obvious - floor, lights,
breaks, undercarriage, tires, etc.?

There are some rusty spots in the usual areas, how do I tell if it's a bad
rusty spot or minor (I plan to have it repainted)?

Thanks in advance!

Happy Trails,
Michelle
