I'm right there with you!! I had a half arab gelding for years
as a kid, I did all of his 'care' which did not include any sheath cleaning - I
think my dad would have had a stroke if I even looked 'down there', LOL!
We didn?t even have running water at our barn, unless you count the stream that
led to the pond. We had a well that you had to hand pull the rope to
get this bullet looking thing full of...omg, yes, it was the best tasting
coolest water on earth!...and then attempt to dump it on your horse to rinse him
off a little after a long hot ride - getting it anywhere near the lower parts
was not even an option! Guess we were way behind the times XXX years ago
