Re: [RC] [RC] Skyrider saddle revisited - rosalie

Hi Bonnie -

Yes, I've heard that (and seen that) about saddles made in India too..
But I've also been told that there are good ones coming from there,
you just have to be picky. These saddles are made for "The Australian
Stock Saddle Company" and being supervised by Colin Dangaard. To some
extent, I am trusting that Colin will not let his company be
represented by inferior goods. But I did make sure I could return it
for a full refund, and I also got a two week trial period.

And I recognise that I may not like the saddle - I might have the same
experience that you did. I'll be on the lookout for those kind of
issues - I'm really glad you said why it didn't work for you and your
horse. I've heard from about half a dozen people privately, and while
most like them, they have pointed out some conformations where it just
won't work. In a way, that gives me confidence too, since I'd be
really suspicious if _everybody_ loved them.

Thanks -
Rosalie
PS - Did you used to work at Broken Horn?

Not too long ago, someone mentioned the Skyrider saddle. I checked it

Do you have any idea what the quality is like? My experience has been
that saddles made in India are inferior.

That being said... I bought a Skyrider saddle years ago from the
people who made them originally. I know many people love them but for
me and my horse it did not work. We both hated it. ..
