what is funny to me, and i am just guessing here, could someone actually 
walk/run the entire course while leading their horse, still >>get a 
completion and possibly awards?   ed 

Yes, but PLEASE don't make a fuss about it. It would be one more case of 
changing the rules to hurt 99% of the membership to try to affect 1%. One of 
the most irritating rules in CT is that you cannot make forward progress off 
your horse. In 17 years of endurance riding I have never been on a course where 
I felt anyone helped their placing by getting off and running. I know it was a 
factor for a little while out west but it was so rare that it would not be 
beneficial to make a big deal about it.
