RE: [RC] WEIGHT DIVISIONS - bobmorris

All I ask is to use common sense and follow the AERC Rules
as they were written. When making up a set of rules for a
sport like endurance, the authors cannot consider all the
angles the "jailhouse lawyers" can envision. They rely on
common sense. It appears that has gone the way of many
useful tools.

As for Heidi, with out clothes?

So very simple that you just weigh the body and tack. What
could be
more clear than that? Body and tack. Now, in my mind water
is not
tack. Clothes are not tack. Easy Boots are tack. A
leatherman tool is
not tack. Ad infinitum!

Please, weigh just as the AERC rules state, body and tack.

Uh oh, now Bob is gonna have us weigh nekkid but with our
saddles! <g>

Heidi (who really doesn't want to inflict herself on the
poor weight takers by weighing in without her clothes--I
look bad enough in riding tights... On the other hand, it
can't be any worse than Howard or Jim--so what the heck!
But on the other hand, THEY live in the SE where it is WARM,
and I'll be danged if I'll freeze my heiny off to weigh in
when it is 33 and the wind is blowing! On the other hand,
if I DID freeze my heiny off, REALLY off, I wouldn't be a
dad-blamed HW! So there! But I think I'd still opt to keep
the clothes in the equation... <g>)
