Heidi, I swear, everytime I try and stop talking for awhile on this topic 
you make another post that gets me going again.

Look, we're not trying to isolate ourselves here.  We are trying, or at 
least I am, to isolate them.  Isolate the slave traders.  Shun them.  Tell 
them they are no longer allowed to participate in our game.  BAr them from 
endurance, thoroughbred racing and any other activity they participate in 
Internationally.  Make the criminals the victims for once.  Do not allow 
them to play at all.

I fully expect our team to go over there.  It's too late in the day for them 
to pull out now although I really do wish they would.  I've heard that they 
will all be practicing in my gal Val's property down here in Florida in a 
few weeks.  I plan on going over there while they're training with a sign.  
My sign will read, "Please don't go."  If any of them stop to ask me what 
I'm talking about I'll tell them.  Hopefully, by then, I'll have a copy of 
the video.  I just want them to know.  They can make up their own minds 
about their participation in a sport that they love in a nation run by slave 
traders.

My problem is they'll be carrying the American flag.  OUr flag, in a country 
run by Sheikhs, many of whom are directly involved in the camel jockey slave 
trade.  I hope that this is the last event held in this country that we ever 
participate in.  I wish we would refuse to do so right now but the reality 
is any kind of refusal will take some time, if it ever occurs.  We could, of 
course, just choose to look the other way.  We've done so in the past, 
wouldn't surprise me if we did it again.

There are a couple of elections coming up, the big National one, and our 
little AERC DAL election.  I hope ya'll really vote for those whose beliefs 
on this issue are close to your own.  It's the only way things will ever 
change.  We can keep looking the other way or we can actually make an 
attempt to do something about it.  The choice really is up to you.

One last time, please, watch the show. "Real Sports with Bryant Gumble."  
It's on again tonight, HBO, 7pm EST.  It's also on HBO West, 7PM their time. 
This will most likely be the last time they air this paticular show.  Even 
if you don't have HBO, heck, go rent a motel room that carries this cable 
channel.  Keep in mind, if you want to have some fun at the motel, you may 
want to plan on doing it before the show airs.  I only mention this because 
I know that after you see the show you will no longer be in the mood.

Heidi, we know where you stand.  Folks know where I stand.  If you, Heidi, 
agree to quit repeating your views on this subject I'll do likewise.  
Otherwise, just keep those Nazi comparisons of yours coming.

Indeed it does.  In more ways than one.  Good people with corrupt rulers
in power.  And our isolationism prior to WWII ended up costing millions of
innocent lives.  That is a mistake from which we should have learned--but
in far too many circumstances it appears that we have not.
