Re: [RC] Equipedic Phase Change - Ed & Wendy Hauser

"...I guess you need to call the manufacturer to see how they
did their testing...."

I would if:
1. I felt I needed a pad. I use OF saddles with a wool blanket as a pad.
This system has worked for 13 years for myself and Wendy.
2. I was considering purchasing one of their pads.

or someone was paying me to make the time spent worthwhile. In fact, if
paid or sufficiently interested I would:

Look up heat production in horse literature. Instrument one of my horses
and measure temperatures and amount of heat transferred with various pads,
blankets and saddles. Note: when I say measure the amount of heat
transferred I refer to calories not temperature. There are available
instruments called heat flow meters that do this.
It would be fun research, and relatively inexpensive. (say $10,000.00
total).
