Breathes is the important quality in those statements. A waterproof cover will hold condensation on the underside of the cover and hasten the rusting process. Keeping your trailer clean, waxed at least once a year and under a cover will lengthen it's life considerably.

Living in Kansas, I'd probably opt for the cover with the longer warranty as the wind wreaks havoc on covers.
