So was I...made it to #22 and I did not do a 100.  Plus I did it in the SE where finding enough rides was the contest.  I would have never attempted to do a 100 until I wanted to go to ROC and I believe that is the reason the majority of folks tried their first 100. ... to go to a major event...ROC, Tevis OD etc.  even tho the others did not have qualifications, most people wished to try an "easier" one first...IMO
