Re: [RC] splint boots - which ones do you recommend and why? - Barbara McCrary

I really like Professional Choice Quick Wrap splint boots, at least for the
front legs. I've never tried them on the hind.

==========================================

my mare and i spend a lot of time on trails. not competing but riding
through all types of terrain, water, etc. we've been using toklat neoprene
splint boots on all four legs just to protect her from bumps and scratches.
the hind leg boots are falling apart and i was planning to buy new ones.
well in the meantime someone told me that the hook and loop closures are
dangerous b/c they can dig into the tendon and cause damage. luckily we've
never had this problem but this did leave me a bit concerned.
so before i make my decision, i'd like to find out what's used on
endurance rides for leg protection?

thanks in advance!
