[RC] Cold Weather Riding - Vallonelee

What's that ?  Here in SW Arizona we hardly ever think about cold weather riding.  We reach for a sweater when it gets down to 70.  We had a good rain in the desert yesterday - I guess about 1/2-1" and the sand is packed nice and firm.  The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it is a lovely day to go riding.  But alas,  here I am stuck at my computer recovering from surgery :(

".......and God sought to bestow upon man a supreme mark of his blessing. God created the horse. The horse could run faster than the deer, jump higher than the goat, and endure longer than the wolf. Man, being encompassed by elements that sought to destroy him, would have been a slave, had the horse not made him king."
