Re: [RC] angie mcghee/Hallelujah ride - rides2far@xxxxxxxxwould like to get in touch with Angie Mcghee... concerning the orthoflex saddles...seems to remember that she rides in one. Also was wondering if anyone will be at the Hallelujah ride this weekend that rides one. Here I am, yes I use and Ortho-Flex, no, won't get to come to Hallelujah but am sure there'll be plenty of OF there. Will be at Skymont Nov. 6. If somebody has a 16" traditional it will cover a lot more ground than my saddle though so check around for different sizes & styles. Got your post about length of panels and was going to answer after measuring. I'll answer publically so maybe some other OF users can jump in and comment. My Express was made in 1990. It was measured like a western saddle and sold as a "14" seat. I later broke a panel and they replaced it in about 1992 with "the new style" which I only remember didn't fit my booties, not sure if shorter or longer. You said your horse had a really short back. I'm getting ready to find out if an OF will fit in that situation. My new horse is 14.1 with a very short back. So far I'm just walking with a bit of trot so don't know if it's going to be a problem or not. If so, I'll be asking people who ride the really small ones...John Parks? what sort of saddle is best.
