[RC] saddle pads - Amber Schramm

I am a relative newbie to endurance, and I was wondering about pads.  A friend recently gave me a brochure about the Limpet saddle pad.  The ad says that it is open-cell, and the heat from the horses body bonds the saddle and pad to the horse so nothing slips aournd.  It also states that it absorbs shock.  Does anyone have experience with these?  I ride in a Torsion treeless saddle right now (and we love it), but I'm wondering about longer rides (we've done one fifty so far).
