[RC] Boa/gaiter question - Sundaez

Hi all....

Tried out my new Boas a couple days ago. Went 10 miles at all gaits and terrain type. Boots didn't budge, no rubs either though I noticed a spot on the hoof on the coronet band right where the knob to the boot is. Maybe I had them too tight? It wasn't a sore or anything...just dry even though we had gone through mud. It was on both hooves in the same place. How do you know if the boot is too tight? Do you turn the knob till it stops? Instructions say to get an index finger in the side but does that mean at the top of the boot or all the way down. Seems it would be too loose if I could get a finger in there all the way down.

Yesterday I tried to get the boots on with the gaiters #$^&#^#&&^@))!!!!!!! Could not do it and keep the gaiter in place. Any suggestions?

TIA

Mel
