[RC] Endurance Riding w/QH/Pinto - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Hello everybody. I am just now learning about endurance riding and am very
interested in learning more. I am somewhat of a novice horse owner, only
having my horses for about 3.5 years. I have pretty much been limited to
riding on trails, preferably in small groups. I remember when I first heard of
endurance riding (a few years ago)... my first reaction was NO WAY ! But now...
this is sounding more and more like something I could really enjoy. It would
be great if I could find something that my horse and I can work together on,
and build our relationship on. My main question is... I have a registered
Pinto (stock QH type). By reading the posts here, it seems that most endurance
horses are arabians. What type of qualities would a stock/QH type horse need
to possess to be able to succeed and enjoy in this type of riding? My Pinto is
somewhat lazy... but I really have never challenged her. She's young... only 4
y/o.

Thanks.

Ginger
