Re: [RC] What's in YOUR Crew Bag - heidi

But what do you have in your crew bag that is a
non-ordinary item that you find essential?

MILK, MILK, MILK! I send out a 6-pack cooler with a 20-oz bottle of milk
in it, plus sandwich, some kind of fruit, and usually a pudding or
something. But milk is my staple.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from Laura--if I drank that
cappucino, I'd likely need the pepcid as well, and I try to avoid anything
with caffeine in it, as I dehydrate too easily as it is. But if I drink
any of those "sports drinks" or eat anything salty, you'd likely find me
puking alongside the trail. As long as I get food and MILK, MILK, MILK,
I'm a pretty happy camper.

I don't send much to checks--mostly just my snack cooler and a bag tied to
its handle with beet pulp and Senior for my horse. RMs here are good
about providing hay. Depending on weather, I may send one of those
zippered crew bags with a cooler for horse and dry socks for me, or on the
other end of the spectrum, with my cool-neck presoaked in a ziplock bag,
etc.

Heidi
