Drin, you might consider a trace clip. I used that for years, and
it makes a great difference with cooling, yet leaves enough hair
for winter coverage, while the clip grows back in. Bet you are 
coming to Oreana? Feel free to email me, I may even be available
to help you, if you decide to do a trace clip, and can't do it
yourself. I have clipped several, and work reasonable. :o)

Skyla and Tempo (who grows his hair in about the time everyone
else is shedding...sigh)
