[RC] washing horse's face - sherman

A big thanks to whomever suggested the mist setting on the sprayer to help with a horse that objects to their face being washed. I have temporary possession (until I find her a permanent home) of a 14yr old Arab mare who has a BIG problem with sprays & washing. Today, I held the mister near her, and let her slowly get accustomed to it, then she finally let it spray over her head. This is a big step for this horse. Hope we can overcome the rearing as well. Her original owner said she used to be a spunky, but well trained horse, that her 13 yr. old grand-daughter rode until the horse was 10. Then she went to a lesson barn & eventually started rearing with the kids. She's sweet, friendly and gets along well with all the other horses. Hopefully can be a good trail horse again.
