Interesting--I was stationed at Ft. Polk for 3 years (78-81), did 
plenty of field time (was the DISCOM S-4) including of course North 
Fort, and never even heard from anyone about them let alone saw one.

Did see the wild boar though at another off-post training site whose 
name escapes me...
